Product Description
This rod seal is asymmetrical and has carefully trimmed lips to provide a dry seal in light and medium-duty situations. It can also be used in heavy-duty situations if paired with a proper back-up ring. The lips are cut at an angle to optimize the seal's performance.
The Hallite 605 is made to fit tightly in the seal housing groove and has an extra lip. This additional lip, positioned behind the main lip, enhances the seal's stability in the gland. The inner lip, which comes into contact with the rod, is shorter and stronger, resulting in better sealing and compression resistance compared to traditional symmetrical U-rings.
